To the sacred place where pillars of light stand

Miiwa Shrine, located in Kitaibaraki City, Ibaraki Prefecture, has been attracting more and more attention in recent years as one of Japan's most powerful spots. Its history is long, and the discovery of ritual ruins from the Jomon period reveals that people have worshipped it as a sacred place for at least thousands of years. The grounds are dotted with numerous shrines and giant rocks, including the Nationally designated Important Cultural Property Romon, and many other shrines and giant rocks, enveloping visitors in a mysterious atmosphere.

The greatest charm of Miiwa Shrine is the sacred mountain Mt. Miiwa, which towers deep inside. The entire mountain at an altitude of 513m is considered a sacred object and has been a subject of faith since ancient times. From the summit, you can see a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean, and if the weather is good, you can also see Mt. Fuji.

The destination for this trip was the summit of Mt. Miiwa. While visiting numerous power spots, we aim to sense the energy of this sacred mountain with our entire body and develop our own potential.

Chapter 1: From Kabire Shrine to the summit of Mt. Miiwa - The sacred path

Visitors of this area are amazed at the overwhelming energy. It has a divine atmosphere like a pillar of light standing there, the rustling of the trees, the chirping of birds, and the vitality that gushes from the earth. Mt. Miiwa is a place where you can feel the mystery of nature through your five senses.

After visiting the main shrine of Miiwa Shrine, we finally begin our climb to Miiwa Mountain. If you go to the right of Kabire Shrine, you will meet the back approach, and it will look like a mountain trail. The road gradually becomes more difficult and the feet get worse, so you need to proceed with caution.

However, with each step I feel the air clearer. The surrounding trees are thick and towering, overgrown to block the sunlight. It was like walking through a green tunnel.

You will arrive at the summit about 20 minutes from Kabire Shrine. My vision suddenly opened up, and a spectacular view spread out before my eyes that made me lose my words. The blue seas of the Pacific Ocean, the mountains in the distance, and the sky that continues all the way. The spectacular scenery makes you forget about the hustle and bustle of everyday life and release your heart.

The mountain peak is dotted with giant rocks. These giant stones are said to have existed for 500 million years, and are power stones created over the years by nature. Its presence is overwhelming, and you can feel a mysterious energy when you touch it.

On the right side of the summit, a stone pillar stands in a slightly hidden place. This is the inner shrine of Miiwa Shrine, and is the place where Tachiyahio Mikoto, the deity enshrined at Kabire Shrine, descended. Stone pillars are also known as glowing stones, and when touched, you can feel strong energy. (However, since it is a sacred object, there is a warning not to touch it. It is important to follow manners when visiting the shrine.)

This stone pillar has a similar, yet stronger, more sacred energy that is felt at Kabire Shrine. There is a pure and comfortable space that is different from the foothills, as if you were in the heavenly world.

It is said that visiting this mountain peak will awaken you to the potential you have. It is also said that a sixth sense has been developed, which increases intuition and sensitivity. There is no doubt that you will be relieved of the stress and worries of everyday life and will refresh your mind and body.

Chapter 2: Red Stones and Satsumato Shrine - A space of life and purity

To the right of the summit is a red stone. This red stone is also said to be a glowing stone, and is said to have the effect of increasing the energy of life. (You need to be careful not to touch this one either. It is in the shade of the rock, so you need to be careful of slipping.)

Perhaps because the entire mountain is a sacred object, I don't feel tired even when I climb to the summit. Rather, it seems that your body feels lighter and your mind and body are filling up.

After visiting the summit, we head down the mountain from the back approach. On the way there is Sato Shrine on your left.

Satsuma Shrine has a Nakamichi and a main shrine, and this time we will visit the Nakamichi. A very pleasant breeze blows through the grounds, making it a wonderful shrine that makes it seem like a sacred sacred area.

It was filled with refreshing feeling that made me want to stop for a moment and take a deep breath. The sounds of birds chirping and rubbing leaves from the trees calm and soothe the mind.

The deity enshrined in the Satsumato Shrine's shrine is Tachiyahio Mikoto. It worships the same god as Kabire Shrine.

After passing this Satsumato Shrine, it is the entrance to the mountain trail. Return to the starting point. We walked slowly while taking photos and other activities, so it took about an hour and 30 minutes.

As I climbed Mt. Miiwa, I refreshed my whole body, like a wind blowing through my body. My body was lighter on the way home than I went, and compared to before I climbed, I felt refreshed, as if my brain had become clearer, my vision was clearer, and my senses seemed to have been sharpened.

It's fun to feel and lighter steps.

Mt. Miiwa, where the entire mountain is a sacred object, is a sacred mountain that will make you feel energized the more you climb.

Chapter 3: Energy of Mt. Miiwa - The Mystery of Nature with the Five Senses

The energy of Mt. Miiwa is too complicated and diverse to express in words. However, by actually visiting and feeling it through the five senses, you can touch on one of the mysterious elements.

First, vision. The spectacular view from the summit is so captivating that it will make you feel. The blue seas of the Pacific Ocean, the mountains in the distance, and the sky that continues all the way. The spectacular scenery makes you forget about the hustle and bustle of everyday life and release your heart.

Next, hearing. The rustling of the trees, the chirping of birds, and the sound of the wind. The sounds played by nature calm and soothe the mind.

And the sense of smell. Clear air, earthy scent, trees scent. Taking a deep breath gives you a feeling of purifying your body.

Plus, the sense of touch. When you touch a giant stone or stone pillar, you can feel a mysterious energy. You can feel the vitality and the strength of nature that surrounds the earth.

Finally, taste. The rice balls and drinks eaten on the summit have an exceptional taste. Eating food in nature fills both physically and mentally.

The energy of Mt. Miiwa gives you a sense of the mystery of nature through the five senses. It will not just be a tourist trip, but a special experience that will confront your inner self and encourage spiritual growth.
